Life imitating art

Life's a weird and wonderful mix of dreams, schemes and mistakes. Most of the time we go around in a daze but once in while when we're fully awake magic happens....

Went mad and bought a sepia pen! Here are a few doodles of boxes to create a patchwork quilt effect. I saw an excellent exhibition of quilts in Limerick recently. It's utterly amazing to see the work that goes into them - all those teeny, weeny stitches! Sewing in a button is a major event in my life so I couldn't even begin to imagine sewing a kingsize quilt. I think I'm a 'big picture' person and the detail is best left to the experts. How about you?

Yup, I know exactly what you mean. I have an embroidery machine which I love, but I hesitate to try to actually sew stitches with it. I just use it for embroidery! Love your sepia...I just love sepcia!

Hi Geraldine! Thanks for you lovely coments about my O'keefe Poppy sketch! I love quilts too! Some of the people I've met through EDM group seem to have taken this form of artistic expression to new heights! Have fun with your sepia pen! I'm looking forward to seeing more of your drawings!
